Tamils Justice Party to support DMK-led front in Assembly poll

Tiruchirapalli, Mar 17 : The Tamils Justice Party (TNP), Tamilar Neethi Katchi, has decided to extend its support to the DMK-led front in the April 13 assembly elections.

However, it would not support the PMK, one of the key alliances in the DMK front and would not make any campaign in 30 assembly constituencies where PMK was contesting.

Addressing a press conference here last night after party's general council meeting, Party's founder President Suba Elavarasan alleged that the PMK had given lot of trouble to them. Even the PMK attempted to ban the party and ill treated them, he alleged and said their party would stay away from the campaign where the PMK was contesting.

He said the party would make its all out effort to make Chief Minister M Karunanidhi to become Chief Minister of the state for the sixth time.

They would work for the victory of the Congress and VCK and other parties, except the PMK, in the DMK front, he added.
